Empower Your Wellness Journey With These Simple Lifestyle Changes Wellness and self-care are foundational elements for a harmonious existence, blending physical, mental, and emotional health into a cohesive state of being. Setting and achieving wellness goals is vital for a balanced life, allowing you to meet your needs and aspirations with a clear focus. Simple strategies can help you maintain consistency in your pursuit, making it easier to manage daily stresses and challenges. In this article, courtesy of  Redefining The Face  of Beauty , we will explore various methods to enhance your commitment to self-care and wellness. 1. Define Your Path Understanding your personal definition of wellness is essential for embarking on a healthier lifestyle. Start by breaking down your broader goals into smaller, manageable tasks that feel achievable, avoiding the sense of being overwhelmed. Specificity in setting these goals is crucial, as it provides clear direction and focus, making your obj

THINK YOU ARE WISE BECAUSE YOU ARE GETTING OLDER? PROBABLY NOT...

"Sometimes the elders are not wise. Sometimes the aged do not understand justice
 (Job 32:9)."

When most people see a person who is older, their natural assumption is that this person is probably wise, or wiser. This is NOT true. Wisdom is not something you can learn through a textbook or by getting older. Yes, it is true that we learn through our experiences as we get older, and one may have some wisdom of the world (which is called worldly wisdom or street smarts), but the most powerful and greatest source of wisdom ONLY comes from above.

"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding…(Proverbs 2:6)."

This Godly type of wisdom is the MOST important type of wisdom. It is one of the greatest gift that one person can acquire in this life, and very very few people obtain it.

"For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 8:11)."

Many people may look at a person and judge a person by saying, "How do you know about this? You haven't gone through this....? Or what gives you the right to offer me advice on what I should do, since you have never been in this situation....??" While these statements may bare a bit of truth...it is NOT 100% correct. When a person obtains Godly wisdom, they may have some (not all) answers to things they have never gone through. This is often because they have a relationship with God that allowed them to truly look from the outside looking in, and know what to do, but most importantly, what not to do. Most of the time a very wise person does/is not going through some of the things foolish people go through because they have a Godly wisdom that warns them of some of the consequences if they make certain decisions. It is just like the old saying goes..."You do not have to walk through the fire to know you will get burned." Wisdom is not saying a person knows everything. And of course none of us are perfect and even with wisdom you will make mistakes.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)."

So, how do you get wisdom? It's simple. Develop a strong relationship with God and ask.....

"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him (James 1:5)."

Have you asked God for his wisdom today?

"Acquire wisdom, acquire understanding. Do not forget, and do not turn aside from the sayings of my mouth. Do not leave it, and it will keep you. Love it, and it will safeguard you. Wisdom is the prime thing. Acquire wisdom; and with all that you acquire, acquire understanding. Highly esteem it, and it will exalt you. It will glorify you because you embrace it. To your head it will give a wreath of charm; a crown of beauty it will bestow upon you (Proverbs 4:5)."
