Lizza Velasquez "WORLD'S UGLIEST GAL?"

Less then a week ago, there was a news story that caught headlines everywhere. Lizzie Velasquez was named "The world's ugliest gal." According to several news sources, Lizza Velasquez, has a condition that causes her to not produce adipose tissue. This means she is not able to gain any type of fat which makes her have NO BODY FAT. She only weights 60 pounds. Velasquez was first seen on a YouTube video and within a matter of seconds, people were bullying her and calling her a "monster" and telling her she should kill herself because of how she looked. This is another form of bullying, and most people who are this cruel to others, have very low-self esteem. If you are truly looking and laughing at someone who you do not find physically appealing, be careful. Not only does this make you as an individual "ugly" but you are doing  something that is cruel, hurtful and destructive.  Anyone who is exhibits these signs of hatred, are usually self-loathing and try to desperately make themselves feel better by putting others down.

Sadly, in many cases, the abused becomes the abuser. Both sides need to seek therapy or find out ways to boost their self-esteem so they can live a civilized life and be happy for being them.

Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things

Q/A

#1
Is this behaviour wrong or acceptable?
"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29)."

#2.

Do we as human beings have the right to judge whether or not a person is worthy enough to live?

"There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor (James 4:12)."

TRUTH: None of us wake up in the morning with the ability to choose what we physically look like. If it were up to us, we would all look to change something about ourselves. Looking at someone with a physical disorder and automatically claim that he/she is ugly is cruel, demeaning and should not happen. Most of us cannot  take one destructive criticism. It generally haunts us for the rest of our lives when ONE PERSON says something evil, but not this young gal. She has counteracted her insults and decided to tell the world about her situation. The 23 year old has been featured on CNN's headlines and written two books, her latest called "Be beautiful, Be you."

While people are laughing uncontrollably about how God made her, she is influencing the world. Something that most of us will only dream of, if we live an unselfish life.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good
(Romans 12:21)."

We all have our own personal opinions of what is physically flattering and what is not. But, is it right to judge someone based on their outside and call them an ugly person? Is it fair to say that ANYONE could end up in a specific situation that causes their body to change. You could get sick, be in a car accident or just change. Life has a funny way of doing things. We never know what will happen. Be careful before you judge another on their looks.

As for Ms. Velasquez , she should be commended for taking something so negative and turning it into something positive. Hats off to Lizzie Velasquez, for overcoming adversity and dedicating her life to inspiring others. How may of us can say that we have done that? Because INSPIRING OTHERS IS BEAUTIFUL...

"I didn't sink down to their level," she said in a follow-up video on YouTube last year. "Instead, I got my revenge through my accomplishments and determination. In the battle between the 'World's Ugliest Woman' video vs. me, I think I won."

Is Lizza truly the ugliest person in the world?
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight (1 Peter 3:3-4)."
