QUESTION OF THE DAY!
QUESTION OF THE DAY!
QUESTION OF THE DAY!
QUESTION OF THE DAY!

"I am 13 and my boyfriend is 15.
We were just wondering what age should you lose your virginity?"

TEEN SEX QUICK FACTS:
TEEN SEX QUICK FACTS:
TEEN SEX QUICK FACTS:
  • Sex is more than physical. It involves emotional attachment and risks associated with pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
  • When two people are intimate, it will change the relationship forever.
  • At 13 and 15 years old, your bodies are raging with hormones. Sometimes, if a person is not careful, they will have sex and confuse those feelings for Love.
  • Before you choose to engage in sexual activity, ask yourself the following questions:
    • Am I ready to possibly become a parent?
    • Do I know about sexually transmitted diseases?
    • Are we having sex because we are in love or for pleasure and curiosity?
    • Do you feel peer pressure towards having sex? "All your friends are doing it?"
      • "My boyfriend, or girlfriend will leave me if I have sex!"

  • If anyone is pressuring you to have sex....They do not care about you! Someone who loves and respects you will wait! AND, if a man, 18+, is trying to engage in sexual activity with you...THIS IS "STATUTORY" RAPE AND IT IS ILLEGAL!
What is statutory rape?
Age of consent in every state!

  • A young girl, especially those who do not have a "father figure," can easily fall victim to an older man. They will tell you anything that you want to hear:
    • "You are beautiful!'
    • "I love you!"
    • "I will be your first and your last!"
  • Realize that you are too special for someone that is going to take advantage of  your vulnerability to have sex. Report them, ignore them AND walk away!
  • Having sex with a boy...WILL NOT KEEP THEM!
  • Having a baby with a boy....WILL NOT KEEP THEM...
    • A boy who cares for you will "stay" with or without sex!
  • Take a very good look at those questions. If you do not understand the questions OR the answers, than you should not be engaging in sex.
TEEN GAL REALITY!

TEEN GAL REALITY!
  • Being a teenager is tough! There is so much pressure to be pretty, popular, have a boyfriend and have sex! Everybody else is doing it! So that means you probably should!

False!
False!

  • Every teenager is NOT engaging in sexual activity.
  • Many teens lie about "having sex."
  • Boys are considered "losers" if they have not had sex....
  • Girls are easy if they do....
  • If a girl has sex, she is NOT a slut, If a boy does not have sex, he is NOT  a loser.
  • Everyone wants to be liked, loved and accepted!
  • At 13 and 15, in today's world, this is a "typical" question. Your parents may tell you that it never happened in their day...well, what happened today DID happen in their time! The biggest difference is YOU ARE THEIR CHILD AND THEY DESIRE TO PROTECT YOU FROM THE MISTAKES THEY MADE.

  • Give yourself time to accept the changes that are happening within your body. It is a strong possibility that at 13 and 15. you and your boyfriend will not be an item.
  • This is normal! When you are that young, you can have a crush on EVERYONE AT ANYTIME!
  • If this is "forever"...what is the rush?
  • There is no "specific" age requirements when it comes to making the choice to lose your virginity.
  • Remember, you can only lose your virginity "once."
  • Most teens feel they can not talk to their parents concerning these issues:
    • Fear of disappointment
    • Fear of disapproval
    • They are my parents....wayyyyy weird!
  • The choice is yours...but if you find yourself asking questions similar to this quite often, then it probably is NOT the right decision. And that is okay!!! We all have points in our lives where we just get completely confused.
    • If you choose to wait, try to NOT put yourself in situations where you may become tempted and things get out of hand."
      • Try to have fun in the presence of friends or public places.
      • Reframe from using alcohol and drugs. This will impair your decision making.
  • If you are confused....I would take a deeper look...
  • When the time is right, you will never have to ask...you will feel peace!
"For God is not a God of disorder but of peace
 ( 1 Corinthians 14:33)."
