WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU GO UNDER THE KNIFE...

These days it seems like EVERYTHING is going down south. Jobs, the economy and even your boobs.  If you feel like your life is spiralling out of control, you are not alone. Millions of people are facing difficult situations, due to their inability to stay on top of things. Some of the things that happen to us are our fault, while others are beyond our control. Irregardless, the decision to "go under the knife" is a huge one. It is not a matter of just making an appointment, running down to the beauty parlor and coming back home to take a nap. This choice goes much deeper. If you are currently debating on whether or not you should make that appointment then this is definitely something for you to read. Redefining the Face of Beauty is never responsible for the choices you make, however, we take pride in giving you the accurate information you deserve.

ASK YOURSELF WHY?

With any decision that an individual makes, they should always make a list and ask themselves the big question "why." In regards to getting cosmetic surgery, the following question should immediately be answered.

  • DO YOU BELIEVE THAT COSMETIC SURGERY WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY?
  • ARE YOU BEING BULLIED AND TEASED AT SCHOOL, HOME OR WORK?
  • IF YOUR NEIGHBOR WAS NOT A TRIPLE E BRA SIZE, WOULD YOU BE SATISFIED WITH YOUR B-CUP?
  • DO YOU FEEL PRESSURED BY SOCIETY OR FAMILY MEMBERS THAT YOUR BODY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH?
  • HAVE YOU RECENTLY GONE THROUGH AN ACCIDENT AND IT HAS CAUSED MAJOR DISFIGUREMENT?
Sit down and think about each of these questions. Write them down, email it to yourself or stamp these questions along with your answers on your forehead. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions, however, these are serious things anyone considering cosmetic surgery should think about. If you are going to choose to alter your body in any respect, the decision should be based solely on how YOU feel. A person should never feel outside pressure to change the way they look. In fact, if those are predominately the reason why you are considering a bit of extra work, this is a red flag in the wrong direction.

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb (Psalms 139:13)."

PLASTIC SURGERY IS THE ANSWER!

CONSIDER THE
HEALTH RISKS!
Anytime a person goes under anesthesia, there is always a huge risk that they may never wake up. Today, many people are under the false impression that getting surgery is like getting a new hairstyle. You wake up, make an appointment, get it done and come out looking fabulous! In case you were unaware, this logic is completely false. If you go to your local hairstylist, they could accidentally give you the wrong hair cut or perm and your physical appearance may suffer for a little while, but it is almost a guarantee that your hair will grow back (or you can buy a fantastic wig).

COSMETIC SURGERY DOES NOT GIVE YOU THAT OPTION.

EXPENSES!
Regardless of whether or not you are a celebrity, cosmetic surgery can be extremely expensive. Unless you have gone through a traumatic experience where parts of your body have been almost mutilated, INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER COSMETIC SURGERIES. This means that you pay at your own risk. Insurance companies are extremely strategic about who they help acquire specific surgeries. Basically, if it is not life threatening, you will have to find another way to finance your new lovely look. If the average person were to completely be honest with themselves, cosmetic surgery is not affordable.  In fact, this is probably one of the things that people are very aware of. Unfortunately, their desire to look perfect exceeds any ability they have to think straight. As a result, many people who undergo cosmetic surgery are either in severe debt, or they completely destroy their bodies by going to a non board certified surgeon, usually not located in a hospital and this increases the risks of death and foul play significantly.

SIDE NOTE: If you have chosen to go with plastic surgery, this is not something that you want to go inexpensive on. You get what you pay for. Choose a plastic surgeon who is known to be extremely successful with his or her patients. Going out of your own comfort zone, or another country is an absolute NO NO. Although there are many great surgeons outside of your zip code, it is safer to stick within a region you are familiar with. It is more likely that the surgeon who lives closer to you feels that they are at a high risk for getting into trouble if your client lives within the same radius.

Also,  it is extraordinarily easy to be manipulated when you are going to an unusual place for surgery. Remember that you are entrusting your life in the hands of a stranger.

IS SURGERY ADDICTIVE?

"If only I had bigger boobs, I would be happier!"

"I hate my nose, a smaller nose will make my career better!"

"Yep, that's me, the bigger the booty, the more friends
 I will have!"

"I will love myself more and I promise
if I can get this one thing,

I WILL not BE HAPPY!!!!!

These are some common thoughts for people who are contemplating getting cosmetic surgery (including bypass surgery). Most people feel as though if they could just fix one thing on the outside, their life would be perfect. Everything would fall into place and life would go smooth sailing.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33)."

If you are completely honest with yourself, you will realize that the statements under number four seem very far fetched and unrealistic. Although you may have now come to the conclusion that cosmetic surgery is for you, it is imperative for you as an individual to realize that fixing something on the outside will NEVER change the way you feel on the inside. Surgery is another form of instant gratification. Unfortunately, like any item you buy at the store, the newness will eventually rub off and you will want more. You will never be satisfied. This is when having surgery can become extremely addictive. Many people may start by trying to fit in, but, if you actually found someone who is bold enough to admit they had a little extra help, they will generally tell you they are thinking about having additional  cosmetic surgery done.

"Death and Destruction are never satisfied, and neither are the eyes of man (Proverbs 27:20)."

In other words,
 plastic surgery can
be addictive.

Trying to reach the point of perfection can become very obsessive and addicting. The first question that was asked in this article was WHY, are you contemplating plastic surgery? The bottom line is that the majority of people who get plastic surgery are not doing it for personal self-improvement, but so that they can feel a moment of happiness. The teen bullying story, amongst others is a perfect example of why this is true.

While, this article does not provide any information as to the right decision, hopefully you can gather that happiness begins from within. If you are completely happy with being you, then by all means take the risk and call your local surgeon. BUT, you are happy with who you are, may I ask a question..???

WHY WOULD A PERFECTLY HAPPY AND SECURE PERSON LIKE YOURSELF LONG TO CHANGE SOMETHING ABOUT YOU PHYSICALLY?

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;   your works are wonderful,
I know that full well ( Psalms 139:14)."
